I wear pants a LOT more often than I wear trousers.
Well, there is that. I most often wear both.
Since this is a pair of words that describe two different things, I almost wonder if the next MIQOD should be "apples or oranges"?
Since this is a pair of words that describe two different things
Not necessarily, depends on where you are from ...
I still think the next question should be apples vs. oranges.
Personally I do wear pants (actually shorts much moreso in this climate) HOWEVER, "trousers" figure greatly in a lot of my English-based favorite humor...the whole Rutles "errrrr, it was....the trousers" thing, and of COURSE, the Bonzo Dog Band's "TROUSER PRESS" (which begat the music mag of the same name)!!!!!!!!!!
Do the Trouser Press baby!
GIVE IT ALL YOU CAN, IT'S MUCH BETTER THAN THE
PRE-FABRICATED CONCRETE COAL BUNKER!!!
I still miss Trouser Press magazine. And I still have most of them somewhere.
Did you feel that there perhaps might be someone here who didn't know what a kilt was, therefore the photos?
No, I just like sharing my photos and demonstrating my preference!

I challenge anyone to say "Trousers, trousers, trousers!" with the same glee and enthusiasm that can be achieved by saying "Pants, pants, pants!"
My tag line on LJ is "The very best in deep fried pants". "The very best in deep fried trousers" just doesn't have the same impact.
>Insert etymological discussion here. Incredibly interesting (to me, anyway) as to the origins and differences of the two, but it's hot and I've got to do a laundry

Men wear trousers, women wear pants.
