Demicon Music Room 2009 - Eric's House Of Ego
Demicon Music Room 2009|
It's gonna be a fun con. We have some of the regulars as well as a few new (ish) acts as well.
10pm - Eric Coleman
11pm - Knotty Dog
Noon - Flatland Ramblers
1pm - Orckes & Trolles
2pm - Adam Stemple & Lojo Russo
3pm - Beth Kinderman & The Player Characters
4pm - Bryan Baker (with his band)
5pm - Toyboat
8pm - Lojo Russo
Well, it looks good except for that Eric Coleman guy. Honestly, why did you have book -him-? And then there's that noisy rock band, Troybat? Or whatever. *sigh*
If things work out, you can miss the Friday night music ... then you'll be ok.
But that won't help me on Saturday night!
There is a very nice restaurant right next door ... I'm just saying
Yeah, but I guess since I'm the roadie and merch babe, wife of one member, mother of the adjunct member, and good friends with the rest I sort of *have* to be there. *sigh*
Not to mention that they rock the house, tear it down, set it on fire and re-build it again... all of which is more than worth hearing anytime...
Obligations are hard ... I know ... If you feel that you need to suffer through it, don't let me stop you, I just wanted you to know that there are options other than the abject horror. I mean it's bad enough that you have to deal with it this weekend ... but having to deal with it 300 miles away ... shudder
I look at it this way: Everyone who sees me around you guys sees how horribly I suffer, so I get tons and tons of pity. With luck I can parlay that pity into chocolate and backrubs from people who feel -particularly- sorry for my suffering. It works out in the end, at least I hope so.
And, when you guys hit The Big Time I figure I'll be richly compensated for my hard work by a raise in salary. Right?
Why must we follow Adam and Lojo?! *angst*
A - Someone has to
2 - Adam has other stuff going on at 4, otherwise I would have put them later.
You'll do fine.

I know how you feel. I had to sit in the circle with them last year, with them watching me play and all ... I was feeling all inadequate 'n stuff. But I survived ... with most of my musical dignity intact. :)
Yeah ... right ... you were SO cutting heads with Adam
I'm going to continue this year's circle a success if I actually work up the courage to play anything at all, personally.
We will staple you to a chair until you play something ... if that helps

Staples hurt ... we could use bungee cords at least.
I'll be there to drag you along with my circle fearlessness. AND I'll have the lap steel AND Jiffy Pop with me! That opens up a shitton of repertoire for you...
Come to think of it, Justin will be there too. You're get to show up at circle armed with 2/3 of your band. It's like bringing a sonic screwdriver to a knife fight. :P </ insidejoke >
Yeah, my band will all just be on guest visas (artist passes) so they won't be back for.circle.
I had that spot last year, so I sympathize. I even had to go on solo after those two, at least it looks like you'll have moral support onstage. As Eric said, you'll do fine!

So, at the risk of appearing as out of touch as I actually am, how did Demicon go? Was Demi there? Or was she too busy fighting with Bruce to be able to make it?
Would have liked to have been there. Maybe one day...
When it goes, I'll tell you ... it's two weeks away

Re: Checking up
Like I said, as out of touch as I actually am...
