Same for me, it depends on who I am listening most to at the moment. Right now Fairport is pretty much on permanent rotation.

Thompson vs. Kaukonen? You're not making this easy.

When they were in those bands, Jorma was the stronger player, in the long run, it's Thompson all the way.

Would it be wrong to admit to wanting Chris Leslie's babies?

Airplane for sure. I love Fairport doing "Percy's Song," and respect the determination it took to learn all those lyrics, but Jefferson Airplane did the superb album *Surrealistic Pillow,* and there are few albums by any band that top that one.

Both. So I refuse to choose one over the other. :)

This is SO unfair. I had to go with the one I grew up with(JA), rather than the one I grew to love(FC).

I am abstaining because I have never heard of Fairport Convention before. So not fair to vote for the group I know over the group I don't.

Then you need to go out RIGHT NOW and somehow find a copy of their album "Liege and Leaf". Then go somewhere nice and quiet and just LISTEN.

The two greatest powers of British folk-rock were in that band at the time... Richard Thompson on guitar, and Sandy Denny on vocals.
