RIP
Dic Youngs

I personally never met him but I knew him my entire life.

And since I can't get to You Tube to get the embed code ... here is a song about his sort.

EDIT I still can't see it, but I assume that ruisseau has put the video in comments. Watch it, it's a great song.

The Last DJ - Tom Petty

Well you cant turn him into a company man
you cant turn him into a whore
and the boys upstairs just dont understand anymore

well the top brass dont like him talking so much
and he wont play what they say to play
and he dont want to change what dont need to change

There goes the last DJ
who plays what he wants to play
says what he wants to say
hey, hey, hey
There goes your freedom of choice
There goes the last human voice
There goes the last DJ

Some folks say they're gonna hang him so high
cause you just cant do what he did
there's some things you just cant put in the minds of these kids

As we celebrate mediocrity
all the boys upstairs want to see
how much you'll pay for what you used to get for free

There goes the last DJ
who plays what he wants to play
says what he wants to say
hey, hey, hey
There goes your freedom of choice
There goes the last human voice
There goes the last DJ

Well he got him a station down in Mexico
Sometimes it'll kinda come in
and i'll bust a move and remember how it was back then

There goes the last DJ
who plays what he wants to play
says what he wants to say
hey, hey, hey
There goes your freedom of choice
There goes the last human voice
There goes the last DJ

And I still can't see it, but I assume that this is the video of them sitting in the studio and playing the song.

Yep. It was hard to find, b/c the first result is a crappy recording from a concert and the next few are covers.
