The joyful day!

A Starry Finale

Starry Night is discontinuing their thursday night open mike ... so I had to go out with a bang ... they might start doing it on saturdays though ...

Trophy Wife
So a cute young thing named Mandy asked me to play this ... I'm a sucker for two things ... cute young things and anyone who asks me to play a song of mine they know ...

Product Might Be Hot
"that McDonalds song" ... or so it was requested ...

Oh Shannon
I was planning on doing Crank Generation here ... but the entire audience went out for a smoke ... well ... all but two ... it was a lean night ... so I played something a little more low key ... this was a good version though ... soft and quiet and gentle ... I was real pleased ...

Crank Generation
This song continues to get uglier live ... WAY uglier ... the cute young thing who requested Trophy Wife was laughing loudly during the intro ... the real rude part ...

Hides
A killer version ... I was still running on the high from CG and ripped through this ... some great playing ... I think that I sang it a little too aggressively though

Golden Age Of Silicon
A pretty low key version ... good though ... I was trying to bring down the energy level just a bit ...

WYSIWYG
And the closer ... I tried to get the folks who had heard this to talk along with the between verses jokes ... a very different sort of singalong ... they didn't ...

All in all the most aggressive set I have played in some time ...
The joyful day!

A name finally ...

... for my new friend who has helped me so much playing electric shows ... I'll give a free copy of the next CD to the first person who gets the reference ... AND can tell me how I got to it ... there is a line of logic here ... let's see if anyone elses mind works in my direction ... there is a big hint in an earlier post ... and consists of a little deconstruction ...

his name is Prince Tisanne
