I want to say for the record ... I HATE white chocolate, hate it hate it hate it. I can stand red licorice ...
I like both. But I prefer white chocolate. Or... you know... chocolate in general.
White chocolate is vile. And not chocolate.
Red "licorice" is not licorice, but it at least has confectionary value. Twizzlers preferable to Red Vines. Strawbeerry red "licorice" preferable to cherry. And, of course, it is stocked in Garth Algar's Mirthmobile.

what he said
True, neither of them are really what the name implies, so I just went with the one I like better - white "chocolate".
One more of the "what he said" crowd, here.
I agree about red licorice -- if it were actual licorice, I wouldn't like it. It probably helps that I grew up with strawberry Twizzlers.
White chocolate is just a dumb name for a different kind of confection that people often apply the same way that they apply chocolate. It has its place. (And I hope to remember never to offer you any.)
White chocolate, hands down. Love the stuff, in small doses. :) Not chocolate though.
I like red licorice, but it ain't licorice. Also prefer strawberry to cherry.
And dude, "lovely"? If ya stuck my face in dough, you'd make gorilla cookies.
There is this thing, it's called a joke.
Later I will say something that is not a joke and we can compare and contrast the two.
Isn't that a sign of the apocalypse? ;)
If it were a joke, it would start "A ballet dancer walks into a barre..."
An Irishman walked out of a bar.
Hey! It could happen!
Any chocolate is better than ANY licorice
But white chocolate isn't chocolate.
And red licorice isn't licorice.
I don't care - ANY means ANY - including pseudo
Ooooh - sounds like an XKCD - sudo chocolate!
So we could call ANYTHING chocolate and you'd want it over any licorice ???
If it was between white chocolate and black licorice, licorice would've won
