Craigslist !

We're still looking for band members, this is our Craigslist ad ...

Looking for Violinist, Violist or Cellist ...
... for a whimsical band called Cheshire Moon. We write fanciful songs based on myths, fairy tales and the world around us. We perform regularly around central Iowa and the Midwest

We are looking for a melodic lead instrument. We would prefer someone with at least a passing interest in Celtic, Romani and/or old time music. Someone with an ability to improvise and, especially, the ability to write their own parts. Ability to harmonize vocally are a plus. Songwriting is a plus. We have no expectations on how you sound; we want someone to bring their own personal voice to the music.

What we have currently ... on one side of the stage, acoustic and electric guitar, Irish bouzouki and Puerto Rican Cuatro. On the other side of the stage ... vocals and mandolin.

We can be found on the web at cheshiremoonband.com. There are downloads of demos of many of our songs and a link to our bandcamp page where you can hear more.

Due to the wonderful proliferation of spam through Craigslist, please respond by way of the email address on the website.

This was originally posted on Dreamwidth, after which it wandered out to various other sites. Feel free to reply where ever you want. I should still see it.
